If you are unemployed or layed off, read on… Now’s an ideal time to take personal inventory on your strengths and passions while you are looking for another job. Once you identify your top 3 strengths and decide what motivates you, look for a volunteer opportunity with an organization to fulfill what you have to offer. Here’s 3 ways you will benefit

1. You will stay actively working (perhaps you don’t get paid) however, you will have a purpose each time you get out and associate with others

If you are jobless, unemployed. Think about the questions interviewers will be asking such as:
So tell me, what have you been doing to keep your skills sharp over the past ? months
How have you collaborated with others when there was little to gain on your part?
Tell me about a project you recently completed and what were the steps involved?

Think about answering these questions if you have been sitting on the coach for the past ? months versus if you were involved in an organization or cause where you were getting up out of bed daily or a few times a week to keep your skills sharp.
